Stand-alone Failure Insertion Unit (FIU)

To ensure the correct fault response of an embedded system, the ability to inject electrical faults is required. The stand-alone Failure Insertion Unit can simulate a line break for each path. In addition, each path can be connected to one of the two fault lines. By connecting two or more signals to the same fault line, any signal short-circuit can be created. The dual, independent, design of the fault lines also enables the simulation of simultaneous double faults.
